Anyone else planning to watch? I think they both look like they're going to be a lot of fun. I'm a huge fan of Unbeatable Banzuke so am really looking forward to the Japanese Game Show. Same host as UB, too! Lucy

What did you think? I thought it was okay but not as exciting as it looked on the preview last night. The commentary was funny in some parts, which I think is what made the show. The Japanese game show was okay but nothing like what I thought it would be. It's a reality show where they all live together and compete on this game show with rewards and punishments mixed in. It's okay, but the challenges tonight were a little more comical than physical. The host of the actual show they're on, which airs in Japan, is the host from Unbeatable Banzuke. I had hoped the challenges would be more like the ones on that show. Still, it wasn't terrible. It has potential, so I'll keep watching. I'll give Wipe Out another chance, too.

I watched both of these shows tonight and loved them. Wipeout was so cool and makes me want to be on the show. I survived a japenese game show was interesting and cool too.

Wipeout was a hoot to watch. Seems like you get knocked around quite a bit, but still looks like a lot of fun in which to participate. And yeah, the commentary made the show that much more hilarious. Again I learn you can't judge books by their covers, so to speak, for I thought the go-go dancer girl wouldn't last, but she did really good and was the only female to make into the finale. I'm looking forward to upcoming episodes and seeing what other challenges are in store.

I wonder about the Wipeout contestents did they see what they had to do? You know I fell almost sorry for the Japanese Game show people.

I would love to be on the Japanese game show. I think it has great potential. The competitions are a bit silly, but that's expected, I guess.

I forgot to watch, but I'm going to set the DVR. We love Unbeatable Banzuke and Ninja Warrior, so I think these two shows will be fun for the summer.

I have to say, I like I survived a Japanese GS. It has the same atmospher as the Gong Show. The announcer reminds me of Chuch Barris, but without Gene, Gene the Dancing Machine!!

The Japanese game show was okay but nothing like what I thought it would be. Agreed! I had high hopes for this, (Being an Unbeatable Banzuke fan also) but it seems to be more of the typical reality show than I expected. I will keep watching though, just to see some funny gameshow action.

I'm really more interested in the Japanese culture stuff. Like the spa where the Americans put there feet into a pool of tiny catfish that eat the dead skin off their feet. ICK!!! It's a great way to see how those on the other side of the pond live. :)

After watching Ninja Warrior last night, I find the new shows pale in comparison.
